    Learning more about my diesel

Been wrenching since a teen on gas. My first diesel has been a blast. Looking forward to learning more about it!

    Thanks all!

Driving a 2017 Dodge Ram with the 6.7. Love it! However, I am concerned about the emissions gear. Most articles I've read say those things are killing the engine. I also know folks who've had DPF/def systems go bad with less than 100,000 miles!

I wanna keep my truck a long time. I will be reading the threads for the best mods for reliability and longevity. If you have any recommended reading, throw it at me.

    Thanks again!

Best move you can make for the engine.

    Welcome!

There's tons to learn here from a lot of people!

In regards to the emissions stuff, it's well known that the devices severely impact the longevity of these engines.

The EGR being the prime culprit.

You have to make your own informed decision on how you want to proceed with that knowledge, but if you become a premium member we have an entire thread dedicated to these conversations.

Delete it and tune it as long as your local laws don't check emissions.
