What is the general consensus on running off road fuel in a deleted truck? Just wondering.
Thanks,

Other than a $10k fine for highway use, it’s the same just dyed.

Yup, that's serious. I was just thinking about this old friend of mine that would dump all kinds of stuff in his tank. He was in his 80s, old farmer still driving his 1st gen RAM. I thought it was a crazy thing to do but he would run used motor oil, home heating oil, almost what ever he could find. But then again, this is the guy that needed to fit a cab over in the garage which wasn't tall enough so he cut the whole way around it with a chain saw and jacked it up with floor jacks. Built wall sections out of 2x8s and inserted. He also burned his old oil filters in the wood stove. When I asked him why he would do such a thing he just said " There's BTUs in dem things"
You know what they say, necessity is the mother of invention.
Some things are better left alone.
Cheers,

Off road fuel even in a emissions equipped truck won't hurt it. Just don't get caught, you really aren't saving any money if you have to pay a 10k dollar fine
About 10k in fines if you get dipped. But the chances of that are slim at least around my neck of the woods but I still wouldn’t take the risk

So it sounds like the only difference is the red dye and a tax stamp?
Is it still ULTRA LOW SULFUR or does it contain more lubricating agents?

To my knowledge it’s still the the ultra low sulfur not a higher sulfur content like it used to be. No way would I risk it.

As someone who has a farm and uses off road diesel, I wouldn't risk it. Not that I have been checked, there is not only the fine but the possibility that I would lose other tax advantages for farming, like no sales tax on farm supplies.
Understood, thanks for clarifying.
