I was a crew chief on AC130H for 10 years, my plane and I retired the same year. Mine was medical retirement, she retired of old age.
Not a "mech" (AD), but a "metal bender" (AMS). Were you on P-3s at Whidbey Island?
I'm on FA18 growlers.
P3s are there but no longer deployable.
