2007.5 ecm/pcm

Last yr my Cummins just stopped .... no start no nothing ... only high end computer was able to connect
Ended up sending the ecm to get rebooted and reprogrammed....
Put back in truck and truck ran great ... with the exception that 3 injectors wouldn't read ...

8 months later truck stops again ... same thing ....
I'm being told I should get another ecm ..... ok fine .... but there has been no determination as to why it quit twice ....

Now .... my AC and engine fan were on both times this has happened.... I don't know if this has anything to with it or not ... mechanic doesn't know Ethier.....

So where do I go from here? ...
Get another ecm?.... if so where should I get it from ....
Anyone else have or know of this kind of problem...

So only an expensive scan tool can read the ecm ...
Tried hooking it up to a Chrysler computer and that won't read at all ... tech says aftermarket software on ecm ....
So I'm leaning on getting a clean or new ecm/pcm.. have the Chrysler tech load my truck on it ... that way a Chrysler computer can read it the next time it drops out .... so I can trace the problem.....
Other then that I have no idea

Sounds like you may have to do that. I hope that will solve your issue that you have been having.

I don't know .... mechanic that worked on it at that time said he sent mine to a place in Florida and they wiped it and reprogrammed it

Ah i see, if it were me I'd get a brand new one that way you know what you've got. I hope you get it figured out, electrical/electronic problems are the worst.
