The correct type should be listed on the reservoir my 2014 3500 specifies MS-12106.

You definitely want to put the correct coolant in your truck. On one of my trips to the dealer I swung by my friends bay. He was working on a car that someone added wrong coolant. It turns to a gelatin like substance when it mixes. It was throughout the entire cooling system. That was a terrible mess.
