    Head studding at 69000 miles?

So I was kicking around the idea of studding the motor with 69,000 miles. Was going to try the one stud at a time method. What do u folks think, will this work with this kind of milage, or should the whole head come off and new gasket be put on. Thanks

Go for it, no issues at that mileage. If there is no current issues mileage wont matter. I've done them with 150k. On the old 12 valves I used to just remove the bolts oil them and retorque them from time to time. Just the the proper steps

I agree with @RamHunter18 as long as there are no issues currently the 1 at a time method should work just fine. Follow the steps and double verify everything and you should be good to go my friend.

The truck has no mechanical issues. Now which head stud to go with and where's the best price?

I would go with the 625's to be safe that way if you and when you buy future mods you will be covered.

I hear Dude's Diesel Performance is pretty good LOL!

No, not as long as your engine is healthy with no issues.

Re: Head studding at 69000 miles?

I live in ct, and I cant find one place I'm my state or mass, or RI that will do this job just putting one stud at a time. They all want to pull the head cut it valve job and new gasket. I was getting anywhere from 3500 to 6500 for a price on this. That's ridiculous.
