Are you running factory charger? Who has provided tunes?

    Re: Drive Pressure

    Ray's s tuning.

Currently running the factory charger, adding an S475 shortly to the factory charger.

I'd like to monitor DP after adding the S475, just not sure the best way of accomplishing this.

    Re: Drive Pressure

Factory charger drive pressure will be about 1.5x boost.

Best way is what Joe mentioned which is the analog gauge getting a reading from the collection area of manifold.

You should be about 1:1 drive pressure after adding 475 and changing manifold etc.

    Re: Drive Pressure

I’m running isspro factory match gauges. Boost, Egt, and Drive pressure.

I really like them I’ve put about 30k miles on the drive pressure gauge and have had no problems with soot build up on the sensor.

Some sites have combo kits but none I saw had that combo with a drive pressure gauge so I bought all separately which cost a bit more than the kits.

    Re: Drive Pressure

Thanks for the input and sorry for the slight hijack.

I was looking at options for housing size and am being told that dropping to a 1.15 housing will light quicker but also increase drive pressure.

I figured for data logging, and making the decision on housing size, making sure I'm at 1:1 with the larger AR housing and not above will be a good deciding factor.

Apparently using the MM3 to monitor exhaust pressure is an option, albeit not as reliable as a mechanical gauge additionally, you have to subtract "atmosphere" from the reading.

Not sure what that would be in reference to. (info on exhaust pressure pid/atmosphere from another thread on the site).

Which other housing were you looking at?

I wouldn’t be worried about lighting a 475 with stock charger.

Driveability will be great even with a larger housing.

@Bpbertolacini what exhaust housing size did you choose for your 475?
