Do You Have Any Regrets Deleting Your Truck When It Was Brand New?

Hi everybody, I'm new to the forum.

Just ordered DRD tunes for my 2018 RAM.

I have 11000 miles on the clock and I'm in need of some input.

Obviously I don't have many miles on my truck and still have 4 years of factory power-train warranty left.

I'm wanting to remove the junk off my truck just up in the air about it.

I'm a contractor that does property management services so my truck idles a lot.

I have 308 idle hours and 432 drive hours in 11000 miles. Also I will be plowing with this truck this next plow season.

What I'm asking is to the guys and gals that deleted their truck pretty much brand new (20000 miles or less) do you have any regrets?

Any things go wrong you wish you still had your warranty for?

My 2018 had 900 miles on it, now at 2,800 miles.

Time will tell but she feels as healthy as ever.

I deleted my 2015 68RFE with 5 miles on the clock, only issue I had was a loose power steering line that worked its way off the pump which was fixed under warranty.

I had that truck for 80k+ miles running a max effort tune all the time except towing.

My 2018 I deleted at 5k miles, would have been sooner but my work schedule wouldn't allow that.

My advise is to have some money set aside for truck repairs if you do plan on giving up your warranty.

You never know what could go wrong in stock form or deleted.

    Just my 2 cents.

I bought my truck used, with 23000 miles and it was already deleted with DRD tunes.

Bought it from a dealership and they gave me a 1 year power-train warranty.

That was in October and so far so good.

If you have to idle and short trip a lot I would definitely recommend either deleting or trading for a gas powered truck.

You will be very happy and if you do idle a lot make sure to get on it every so often within reason to keep everything freed up.

The last thing you want is to get too much soot build up and then you start having some issues.

Other then that i think you will benefit a lot from it.

    Welcome!!

    Not one regret.

The only warranty fix was the water pump at 55k and that was done with no questions asked from the dealership.
