Re: Do You Have Any Regrets Deleting Your Truck When It Was Brand New?

Well I got it done 2 days ago.

Got DRD lite tuning package with MM3.

Really enjoying it. Had a few questions for ray and he got back to me so fast!!

So happy I have someone like him tuning my truck.

I haven't gone past the 90hp tune and don't really plan too much.

The power increase is very nice and linear.

The trans shifting is gonna take some getting used to with the shift flare and a weird 1-2 shift.

I'm very surprised that even on the 30 and 60 hp tunes I can blow a nice cloud of smoke before the boost catches up.

Seems like every time I take the truck out its driving better and better.

O and the fuel mileage has definitely increased!

This is good feedback anyone with a 2019+.

I've never even had a truck with warranty so I almost feel I need to keep it but have only owned tubes Cummins.

    You can see the struggle.

    Welcome to the forum!

I deleted my 4th gen at like 10,000 miles, wish I had done it sooner.

No regrets at all, it was the best decision I could've made for that truck.

I'd reiterate the following which was said earlier - you have to pay to play so just be prepared for repairs or unplanned expenses if you get rid of your warranty.

My buddy has 100k on his DRD tuned 2013, the trans is holding up great - the truck runs and operates great, but he is smart with it.

Let the truck warm up a bit and especially the trans, don't mash the floor when the truck is cold etc, common sense stuff like that will give you a lot of trouble free miles - from what I know, the weak link is the 68RFE so just be conscious of that.

I have just under a year of bumper to bumper left - Hopefully next year I will get a hold of Ray as my truck will be paid off by then.

Does tuning translate into any risk reduction regarding CP4?

Should not affect the CP4 in any way unless you have the truck modded to the point that it cannot keep up with fuel demand.

I don't think that is even possible with stock injectors and if you are running a tune that hot and using it that hard I would be more concerned with the transmission than the CP4.

Best thing you can do for that pump is keep clean fuel and correct fuel filters on it and get fuel at a high volume fuel station.

No back road stations with one pump and a big rusty looking above ground tank.

Water in fuel will not be good.
