    Check electrical if not accompanied by a gear ratio code the po770 code is only going to be a circuit fault.

    Dang, I’d almost rather it be a transmission issue.

    I don’t know how much I want to keep chasing wires on this thing.

    Thank you for the input, though.
    Electrical isn’t hard.

    Just don’t overcomplicate it.

    It’s one circuit.

    It would help if you found the correct pin at the PCM connector and the corresponding pin at the transmission connector.

    Load test that wire.

    If the wire can carry a load, then it’s good.

    The TCMS rarely go bad since they added them into the ECM.

    Solenoid packs are a common problem.

    Have you replaced that yet?

    If you clear the code, will it pop right back up and immediately go into limp, or do you have to drive it before it goes into limp mode?

    Thanks, I haven’t replaced the solenoid yet.

    I left the truck with a mechanic, and I don’t know how much electrical troubleshooting he did, but I just recommended I swap out the whole trans for a built one.

    I’m not against doing that, but I’ll be pissed if it doesn’t fix the issue.

    For what it’s worth, I also got the P0988 transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch e circuit range performance code as well a couple of times.

    Not sure if that would favor an electrical connector issue or transmission really is going out type of issue?
