    Towing a 5th Wheel With 37" Tires

So, if anyone is wondering if it is possible to hook up and tow the 5th wheel and still have adequate clearance for your fifth wheel and still have 37-inch tires the answer is yes.

I had 6 inches or so from my bed rail to the camper and I was on a kind of arched slope, so when I am flat ground, it will be even better.

I have the Anderson ultimate hitch which is super adjustable and I did move the pin box up one notch.

Ask me questions as I got answers if you are looking for a similar setup.

    Looks good!

I as well was able to tow my 5th wheel with a 6 inch lifted 3rd gen with tires equal to 37's.

Truck did squat more than I wanted but it had adequate clearance and i only had to watch my bed rails when I would go over a crazy slant or slope.

I would hate to be your trans.

    What gears are you running?

Just make sure your height doesn't go over 13' 6" and you should be fine.

First thing I did before the lift and tire size change was put new gears in. I went up to 4.11.

After talking g with Nitro gear and and seeing what AEV does I felt it was the best middle ground.

I didn't want to go to tall and lose the highway drivability, but I knew the 3.42s were out of the picture.

Currently I have a pullrite hitch and have been contemplating a change to the Anderson ultimate set up.

Does that hitch work well in the short bed trucks?

That hitch worked wonderful in my 6ft bed.

Used it in my silver tradesman with the 6.4 before I got my flatbed diesel.

Now I just use the ball on the flatbed.

I'll give you a super deal on one if you need it.

I'm selling everything around the house to go full time in my camper.

    @bajaben,

Could you provide feedback on how the gears and tires where with regards to towing?

Specifically looking for handling impressions, fuel mileage and if you would do anything different.
