I don’t know what type of programmer I need or which one would work best for what I’m wanting to do. I want to delete the DEF change out the exhaust and increase HP by 75 with the programmer and then unplug the programmer. I don’t want all the options and I don’t want to leave the programmer up. I hope that makes since.

Most go with the MM3 by DRD.

Welcome!! I have had DRD tunes on my truck for almost 5 years now. Great guy, excellent tuning and hands down best customer service in the tuning world.

Have you had to have any other work done to your truck because of the extra power?

I have not. Power train wise the truck I completely stock except the tuning and a delete pipe in the exhaust. Just normal maintenance over the last 60,000+ miles, the truck has 88k on it total.

    Welcome!

There are SEVERAL ways to tune a truck. Tuning is the life or death of the beast honestly so don't skimp out. I recommend DRD tuning and most guys here run it (check the signatures). The MM3 monitor can be left plugged in and used for gauges which is recommend to monitor things or can be removed once the ECM is flashed with the tuning parameters. Hit up Clayton @dudesdieselperformace and he can get you into the MM3 with Rays tunes the way you would like them.

There is ALOT of great info on here so the search button is your friend!
