Looks like a solid piece, anyone else running this? I would love to get Ram to pay for this.

IMO, the OEM unit will be fine for me and most if we just check the tightness, put some locktite on it. I will add some cheap stainless hose clamps that are wide that snug up to the nut and are wide and flat and tighten those over the threading without damaging the threads. synergy or other co. that make solid tre's and drag's with better joints. they are really nice and will be a upgrade for me down the road when I cross that path.

I know this is old news, but I was at my local ram dealership looking at the stock steering setup to compare were I am at after a 3 inch lift and I noticed this.
Where I come from that's called a 'Cob Job'... not gonna be fun trying to adjust that bugger in the future!

Wow, I would be pissed if my brand new truck had this done at the factory. Is this a 2019?
Received the recall paper in mail about 2 weeks ago. Happened to notice my steering wheel wasn’t centered on way home from our last camping trip. Checked drag link and one of the nuts was hand tight. No way I was gonna let them weld the nuts to the sleeve. So I did loctite on both nuts and tightened all I could, so far so good.
2016 2500 Big Horn Maximum Steel, fully deleted, mm3 by DRD, banks monster ram, s&b cold air intake, 4” MBRP, DRT Trans billet valve body, BD power trans pan, ats thermal bypass valve, shibby plugs, RC leveling kit, airlift 5000# air bags, 295/65-20 Nitto trail grapplers.
Welding those nuts is complete and utter BS, especially for those of us who use our trucks off-pavement.
I purchased a lifetime alignment at Firestone, and take my truck in there about every 6mo-1 year to have it realigned.
I put a lot of miles on dirt roads, and the freeways in WA are *****, so it needs it.
Those nuts get re-torqued by them, or should, every time.
