Battery Keeps Dying - RaceME Ultra

I am on the latest update on the RaceME tuner and since the update the batteries keep going dead when I don't drive the truck for 3-4 days.

I have had the batteries tested and they are good.

Original batteries in a 2015 truck.

    Anyone else have this problem?

How far do you drive the truck every 3-4 days?

    Have you tried reinstalling software?

Around town, to Lowe’s, pull my boat on the weekend.

I drive a car to work during the week. Raceme is unplugged from the OBD plug.

Could the tune be draining them?

If it's unplugged the monitor can't be doing it and a "tune" couldn't do it.

You need to get the batteries fully charged, or the ECM will not go to sleep.

Get a 1.25 amp battery tender and hook it up and leave it on till they are fully charged, and see how it does then.

It seems once they get weak running, they never seem to get them fully recharged.

Yes sir i agree with the above.

You may want to take it on a small road trip to let them get charged or get a battery charger and see if they will charge up.

Some trucks, the original batteries did not last very long so it may be you are one of the unlucky ones on this.

I had to replace my batteries in my 2015 this winter.

No start once the temperature dropped.

    Agree with above.

Batteries take a toll turning the beast over- without adequate run time the batteries will be drained.

Even if voltage is decent you’ll want to check CCAs as those are what are needed to get her going.

    The Dude is right.

I have allot of experience with this.

    Even my 03 gets flaky.

Since I do short trips, especially in the winter, I have a float charger installed now.

It takes at least 20 minutes to recharge a fully charges set of batteries.

Sometimes more with the grid heater.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I do have a charger and try to keep them on tinder.

Strange thing is that I can jump it off with my car after it it hooked up for about 5 minutes. then it will crank for the rest of the day or until I let it sit for several days.

Maybe it is time to get new batteries.
