    truck hitch lights not working

    guys - I just got a 2015 2500 and the main lights from the trailer hitch on the truck do not work- blinkers ,brakes etc work just not the main lights any suggestions how to figure this out- thks

    Main lights as in running lights correct?

    Check the plug on your truck, might be a damaged wire. If everything checks out there it might be one of the wires on the trailer.

    What kind of plug are you using also my friend?

    Hi its def on the truck- when I use the 12V probe to the hitch everything shows power but the running lights- Is there an easy way to check the wiring on the truck

    I usually start from the plug and work my way back. That part of the wiring system is not too terrible to trace up towards the front. Normally I find the issue before I even make it past the diesel tank LOL

    Still cant find the problem= I'm thinking the previous owner had all the lights changed-Is it possible a wire is not connected up in the engine compt??- does anyone know where the hitch wires connect in the engine?- thks
