If I would go with 5” exhaust do you think I’d see a difference in egts or is it not worth the extra money? I’m probably going to stick with the 30hp tune maybe the 60hp when I’m not towing.

In all honesty you would see a slight difference in egts but with you only sticking to the lower hp settings and not pushing for high hp you can save your money and get a 4 inch system. It is all preference though and most people do prefer the look and sound of a 5 inch. I prefer the look and the sound of the 5 inch but if you need to save some coin the 4 inch will do you just fine. Lots of race trucks still run the 4 inch as well.

This is how my truck is set up. I got a 4" race pipe to replace the canisters and left rest of the factory exhaust in place, including the muffler. The truck sounds good and no drone when pulling our camper, even through the mountains.

Ahhh, I thought they still had the resonator/muffler even on the newer trucks. No way would I pull the camper without out it.

I just did mine 2010. Down and delete pipe. Used stock muffler and tail. Does the twister need to be up front in delete pipe before hanger or inplace of short pipe and muffler. Then put tail on .

If it’s a resonator style you want it as close to the motor as possible. On my 13” I have stock down pipe to 30” fte, to delete pipe, to stock tail pipe. Zero drone for me

With the 5” do you have to remove the spare tire?
