Thanks to all that provided feedback! Much appreciated. Have another trip planned in a couple of weeks. Am toying with maybe getting a tuner without any deletes added like what DRD offers. Anyone running that EGRLESS emissions compliant tune? I would love to hear about your experience with that tune. Thanks again for your input!

I've got 5557 miles on the truck now. So it's really relatively new.

Very nice! I think you would be very pleased with DRD Emissions Compliant Tuning. There are a few guys who are pushing over 60k on his tunes with no issues at all.

whats wrong with towing in 6th. I can see locking it out if on the hills or running 3.42's. With 3.73 or 4.10 should 6th be ok to run ?

Running in 6th is fine as long as it's flat and you can keep the rpms up where they need to be. Hard downshifts from 6 to 5 while pulling can burn up the clutches quick, even on a stock truck.

Thanks for clearing that up. What towing weight would you want to keep out of 6th.

My camper sits at just under 10k when loaded. I lock out in 5th when heading up into the NC or VA mountains, otherwise I just keep it in drive, tow haul mode and set cruise around 65-70 mph.
