I did a thread not to long ago on tips on removing the fuel filter cap.
Proper tools, give you proper torque to loosen.
I have had this Billit cap for 25k miles now and no issues.
I don't understand the issues that people talk about.
The o-ring that comes with the new filter sits and seats on the factory housing lip and the cap tightens down female to male.
Maybe I'm not understanding the issues on these O-rings and they are falling off.
I have only used motor oil on the o-ring. saturated enough that some may run down the threads or even get in the fuel bowl.
I'm not worried of some small secondary contact to the fuel from engine oil.
I do not use any type of paste, fluid on threads.
i want to say 22lbs of gorilla strength.
