    2014 2500 6.7 Cummins will not start

Got real cold the last 2 days. -20.

Went out this morning will not start. Push the start button the preheat turns on but cuts off right away. If you try to start engine does nothing but clicks off. I going to charge the battery ’s and see if they could be the problem.

Thanks ahead of time for any info.

The batteries are a great place to start.

    Thanks for the reply.

I charged the batteries for a couple of hours with a charger.

Preheat worked normally. Started up ran it around some to warm it up and charge the batteries up some more.

Shut her down and went and checked voltmeter reading, 13.3 in both batteries.

I check and see what’s happens in the morning.

    Thanks again.

It takes 20 minutes, min, to recharge those batteries. More in this weather. I'd give it 30 minutes. Remember you have 2 big batt's under there. It's not like a gasser

I got to the first sentence and thought you need a new battery (or two) with good cold cranking amps. The cold cranking amps and or battery dont have enough to turn the engine over so you have two choices heat up the batteries or get new ones
