California Loud Exhaust Fine!

Socialism is running rapid in California and now they are fining drivers who have a loud exhaust. The fine is $1000 dollars per offense and we think that is absolutely silly.

"New California Law for 2019. As of January 1, 2019, a modified exhaust on an automobile or motorcycle, excessively loud, can no longer be cited as a correctable violation. Assembly Bill AB1824 has taken away the opportunity to correct the violation and requires a citation for such violation to result in a fine only. In many cases may also result in a trip to the Bureau of Automotive Repair B.A.R. If you feel your vehicle is grossly negligent in this area, removing resonators, deleting mufflers etc. You know who you are. Don't waste your hard earned money on this violation. Drive safe everyone."

We would love to see the reaction of an officer seeing the pipe below.

1. $$$$$$$$$$$ in extra income
2. Scream and look for a safe corner.

I read the law .. and ... no, a single ticket, one trip in front of the judge and a single $1,000.00 check payable to the state will do AFTER you get it fixed back to stock.
Just don't get caught again.

So in this new law, is this for all people traveling through commifornia? or for residents. Commifornia, the land of fruits, nuts, libtards and illegals. I was born in Northern California loved it as a kid. Hated it when I was stationed there for 6 years. I feel sorry for any members that have to deal with how your state is run.

I'm not a california resident now, but my vehicle is street legal in my present state. I've never been stopped or ticketed anywhere in the US to date. How can they penalize me for being out of compliance, when my state who issued my driver licence and vehicle registration says I do meet regulations ? They would have to control my states vehicle regulation laws to ticket me.

True but this is California. If I install a bigger exhaust or different muffler that is considered fine by my state but according to California said product Is not "Carb" approved. Could they, Can they fine you.

There are a lot of us out there in states that do not make you smog or do vehicle checks. People put on a bigger exhaust and they assume that they are fine in their state but only because they don't have vehicle inspections. But that state or county may have noise ordnance decibel laws or old watered down state laws . I know for fact on my past trucks going to a 5" exhaust w/ muffler my diesel was louder than stock. I never got a ticket in my county because the police didn't push the issue. but 4 counties up and those same state decibel laws are in effect.

I will just say that I wouldn't be shocked if somehow CA could fine out of state vehicles.
