    2018 EZ Lynk Issues!

So far this thing is not playing nice at all with my 18.

Deleted truck at 1800 miles and starting to think think this might be a mistake.

So far, lost control of my heated/cooled seats and steering wheel.

The Module has had issues since the second day.

At first it had issues connecting with my GDP monitor and my phone.

Now, the module won’t even recognize that my truck is running.

Tried unplugging it (that worked for a day or 2) and nothing works.

Is this just a issue with 18s?

I have heard nothing but good things about this module so I chose it.

    Any input would be great.

The install was done by a very reputable shop and the tunes are from one of the highest recommended tuners form all I’ve read.

I’m not name dropping either of the 2.

I don't have anything to add, as I do not have an EZ Lynk, but it sounds like the problems I have.

Your truck is so new that it's going to be a tough one to nail.

    Welcome!!

Sorry for the troubles you are having.

They are definitely related to the tuning on your truck, so your going to have to work through this with the company that supplied the tuning.

Hopefully they will get you sorted quickly.

I am sure that Ray is awesome at writing tunes no doubt.

The tunes are not my issue.

Truck drives flawlessly and shifts awesome.

The Ez Lynk how ever is the issue.

Just wondering if there have been any issues so far with 18s and Ez Lynk.

IDK about your seats, from reading other posts it's usually a tuning issue sometimes just little kinks that are fixed easily by the tuner

The connectivity with some trucks (like mine) just have problems.

The only solid solution I've come across is:
    1. Unplug the obd then unplug the unlock cable at the USB
    2. Turn the truck off completely
    3. Turn the truck on or into the run position and wait for it to boot
    4. While it's booting, place your device on airplane mode, but turn the wifi on (it has to stay this way or it'll drop the connection)
    5. Plug the obd back in and it should connect right up

I spoke with customer support several times and even had them warranty me a new one.

The last support person I spoke to said the unlock cable can cause interference and the device sometimes jumps from cell to WiFi and that's why it drops the connection.

I only plug the unlock cable in to switch tunes (rarely).

This is the only solution that has ever worked for me.

    I hope this helps.

Ez Lynk or MM3 I’m really liking the thought of EZ Lynk.
