One of the things I've done on my past trucks on certain connections I have used silicone around the connections. Not inside... but outside a small bead this helped with securing but if the connection was under hood, was another layer of protection for the elements. Not sure if I'll do this to the monitor. When I figure out what style of ram mount I will be using and location instead of suction cup. I'll do some brainstorming on the monitor connection
