New raceme ultra is it a must to update (RAME008C)

Ok I'm sure someone will know what' I need to do. So I just got my race me ultra I installed it in my 2012 cummins last week I did not update my ultra I was way to stoked and couldn't wait a min longer. On my main page of my ultra in the bottom left hand corner it says (RAME008C) I just went to the race me website and that's the latest so no need to updated even though they say to. Right?
