    That’s what I was thinking- maybe they cane off and they used super glue or something. I am down in TX- not sure if heat for 5 years would make the adhesive seep out of the backing. Clean up was easy though- not much of the black padding came off or was left on the truck

    That was from applying badge right after paint at the factory with no cure time... Never understood the de-Badge thing

    I had some folks come out today and fix that area. They stated exactly what you said. It looked to them like the doors had been painted and they likely applied the badges immediately. Truck has a clean title and was a certified preowned but I guess its common to have this done by dealers if there are some scratches instead of chipstick?

    Step one done today without doing the whole door. They say it will match perfectly after some buffing which I will have done in the upcoming weeks - true before and current pic attached.

    i am still skeptical but I am far from a paint expert. Push comes to shove I’ll have the door done...fingers crossed I can save my money for other mods
