    Trackbar bolt

While changing my trackbar the bolt on the frame side got pretty messed up. Went to a hardware store and found a Grade 8 bolt. I noticed the other bolts that come with the rough country lift are 10.9 grade bolts. Should I be concerned about the grade 8?

I wouldn't think so, as long as it is the correct size.

Grade 8 should be ok, but a quick email to Rough Country would be advisable.

Correct me if i'm wrong but, a grade 8 bolt would have 6 slash marks on the head. If it shows 10.9, it has the same 150,000 tensile strength, but it's a metric bolt.

    You are 100% correct.

In this case, you don't need tinsel as much as a Rockwell which well pertain to shear.

Frankly, in my opinion, 10.9 is too hard. It won't flex, it will just break. Some engineers don't think that way
