When I have some money, I may put it on my 62. It's a WIP. Did you gain anything from the EFI? It's usually 15% so they say

I get literally double the miles on a tank of gas, don’t smell like exhaust fumes after each cruise and the around town throttle response is amazing.
What I did lose was high RPM power and the idle is a little jumpy because I have such a low vacuum signal which the EFI relies on to function properly. If you have a mild engine it’ll work great.

He’s been in the high performance supercharging/turbocharging industry since the 50’s and has a huge contract with the US military using his design to power their new support vehicle. He’s like the Boeing of the vehicle world. I don’t see where he’s a crook or selling something that it’s not.

Re: Gale Banks is doing it again.... Differential Covers this time.

When it comes to Banks or any other products, I could care less of their advertisement and comments. I listen to others that have bought and used the products. This I've learned years ago.

I once had a Ford diesel and heard lost of Banks and their claims of their products. I did have records of my trucks temps, mpg and such, so I thought it was a good base point to start from. I bought their electronics, CAI filter unit and exhaust. This time I didn't do it and paid to have it installed by Banks certified installers.

Then I retraced my steps on the same roads, same weight, same time, same weather conditions of the year and same distances. Tried my best to copy the base line to exact as I could. I documented all the info and when done, compared the results. All that Banks claimed would improve ... did not. None of it. It was as if it was still stock.

I know this wasn't a scientific study, just a practical check. And in all, in my eyes, was a waste of money. Not saying this was the same as others, but a waste of time, money and efforts for me. So with this, I look else where for ideas and products.

I do praise Banks "if" he finds a better diff cover design, but this also doesn't mean I'll buy it.
