    Re: Motor oil

I run amsoil oil and filter as they stand behind their products 100%. I have run Schaeffers as well and really have no complaints except for the cost comparison. It cost me less to run amsoil than it did schaeffers and amsoil is a great quality oil. Im by no means telling you to run only amsoil but I believe in their product and I personally have seen it run through way more severe environments than most. Yet it still performs which is why I use it. There are many oil manufacturers to choose from just choose with what you are comfortable with and like.

Also if you buy amsoil from a dealer rather than from Advanced or Big box store it ends up being cheaper in most cases if you run the extended service stuff. Or if you know a guy that can get amsoil for deal.

I beat to a totally different drum then most & I like to be a bit different then our other RV friends.

Since the 1200 mile mark - I've ran a combo of TRIAX Supreme ESP 5W-40 & 15W-40 with a Stratapore filter...

Still trying to choose the ideal OCI..

Royal Purple Synthetic! But as stated you could run something cheap and conventional in these trucks and they will perform fine.

Buy whatever you think is good and don't worry about it.

I've run Amsoil for many years and I've had great results. Amsoil produces the least wear on your drivetrain and this has been proven in independent labs. I sell amsoil to friends and family at low prices. If you're a good guy or gal I might be able to help out. Also, amsoil filters help extend drain intervals and provide superior performance over factory filters. First in synthetics and the best

If you really want to know whats the best oil for your truck and what is really happening in your engine, send in a oil sample and get the full test each change to determine if you stay with it or move to another.

Then you know what is 'really' happening.

    Re: Motor oil

I've been using Amsoil Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic 15W-40 for a few years. I also use Fleetguard LF16035 filters.

On 8 Oct 2017, I changed the oil and filter and installed an Amsoil Bypass filter.
Since then I have only changed the full flow filter at approx every 7500 miles. I send a sample to Blackstone-labs at every filter change.

Fast forward 21 months and 31k miles later, I did my first full oil, full flow and bypass filter change.

Here is my latest oil analysis report from Blackstone-Labs.
I think it speaks for itself.
