Really depends what your goals are friends.
I haven't gutted the filter yet, but I did run a hose down to the front axle. I didn't want any junk going into the turbo.

How long have you been running it with the hose dropped out? I like the idea of not having excess/waste going to turbo. I was thinking that the pressure on the turbo/intake end helped keep some of this in the crank case?

About 40,000 miles. I imagine it's about time to either replace or gut the filter. Somewhere on here is an excellent write up on exactly how that filter system works.

Does anyone on here run a catch can setup instead of just an open hose?
2016 2500 slt. 4x4. 20x10 moto metal 970s on 305-55-20. Fully deleted with mm3. 5 inch tbe.
Ran mine down into a hole in the frame, like it was made for it.
