    2006 5.9l high idle?

So had this issue start yesterday on the way home. When at a stop or at an idle the trucks RPM's are higher than normal and is in conjunction with a slight running rough. I have a leak in the exhaust but have never had this issue before "exhaust is getting fixed this weekend" but seen some posts about a high idle being injector or fuel pump issues. Has anyone had this problem?

Does it start idling high right away, or after a few mins? They can kick on high idle depending on the ambient air temp and IATs. Any DTCs?

no codes at all and it started after i had already been on the road about 30 min. gonna replace the fuel filter and do the seafoam to clean injectors as i don't think the previous owner has done a filter in a while. he took it to the dealer for everything and last one i found was done at 123,000 and currently at 178,000

Stanadyne or power service diesel kleen are better options for a fuel system cleaner.
