    Def tank support

Does any one know if the “support cross member” holding the def tank is an important structural component of the frame. Becuase I’m looking to deleted the def tank and I would love to get ride of that big bulky support so I can put a large air tank in its place?

Good question. I took the one off my pickup last March to put in a new clutch, never put it back in.

I will find out when my truck come back from shop on tue or wed. Trans swap being done they called and asked if I wanted the def tank to go back in because it out to get it out the way for trans work. So I will see if the cross member removed all together or just the tank and repost in couple days
