    It’s hot in Florida

Hey guys. It’s hot here in Florida and I’m having some cooling issues. The truck will sit and idle fine but if you get in traffic it runs hot. Maintains 195 going down the road but hits 210-215 if you sit at a stoplight for very long 04 commonrqil cummins, has smarty touch, bd injectors, fleece CP3 upgrade, pusher intake, intercooler tube (driver side cross air) bd intercooler, fuel distribution, FASS 150, pusher compounds with s475. A couple months ago I was having problems with the truck trying to shut down at startup and the final culprit was the fan clutch. Now the truck is running great but all of a sudden I’m not hearing the fan kick in anymore. Any ideas or suggestions on how to track this down?

Have you checked your fan clutch wires? The fan clutch should kick on at 217*. Make sure your thermostat is working properly and all your coolers are clear of any road Grime, oil or other debris.
