How much has def usage gone up? Any other downsides you've noticed to having the EGR shut off?

When I had EGRless my def usage before going EGRless was about 8,000 miles a tank. After installing it went down to about 2500 miles a tank.

I installed one a few weeks back. What HP setting are you all rolling around in? Curious if higher settings will eventually clog the exhaust filter or don't worry about it? Does a newer exhaust system with DEF even regen?

When I had EGRless it was programmed to 60hp. Because the EGR is turned off your exhaust filter will soot up faster and require a regen often which in turn will increase your DEF usage.

Mine was at 90hp and I ended up clogging at 10,000 miles. I had DEF coming out the back (white powder looking coating in tailpipe). I don't think I had long enough trips at high speeds to keep it from clogging. Currently back to stock until I can talk wife into letting me get tuning (already got the exhaust in the garage, lol).

I leave it in the 30 (my default) and I once a week, when on the highway open it up and romp on her a little bit, sometimes load the 120 then. I am 50K + miles since initial tuning and not an issue. EB always on, and seldom a trip less than 15 minutes of run time, my commute is 30 to 45 depending on traffic. weekly trip to heat it up is 20 miles at 75 to 80mph each way over the hills on route 80. its already at operating temp when I get on the highway and I have another 10 minutes off the highway on rural roads.

as said before I noticed higher DEF usage, but haven't paid attention to miles per 2.5 gallon jug.

2016 Tradesman 2500 picked up 9/28/16 MM3 with Rays Emission compliant EGR-Less Tuning and 12V tune

Future plans: Fass, head studs, slightly larger tires (at least more aggressive tread)

6 in a row makes her go
