@david3gen, Honestly it was a great truck. Didn't really have any issue with it, The motor was still strong and it ran fine. I just felt that it was time to step up a bit and I knew that I wasn't going to by another for so it came down to with a GM or a Ram. I have always like the duramax trucks, my first truck was a 1/2 ton chevy and I loved that truck. But the allure of the cummins was just too strong for me to resist

Congrats on your truck man. I myself am a first time Ram/Cummins owner, I bought a new '18 2500 last November. I to did lots of research on various sites and forums and I decided to go with the MM3 with DRD ERGless emissions intact tuning and I couldn't be happier. From what I've seen I like the display and interface of the MM3 over the other tuner with displays. DRD will give you all the support you need and make sure you get up a running. I don't regret any choices I've made.

Also there are a few other things I was curious about. 1. Grid heater delete 2. Air intake horn, thoughts? 3. CCV delete, seems like this would be cheap insurance to extend the life of the turbo.

This is all new to me as this is my first cummins and it would seem that fourth gens are solid platforms, but they require a little bit of work to truly bring them to life. I'm excited to start wrenching on this rig and really have the true cummins experience.

    Thanks again - PB
Absolutely get rid of the CCV, $8 of 3/4" heater hose, scrape out the filter media, easy peasy. I kept my grid heater, I live in a cold climate and it makes life easier. Some may disagree, but unless you plan on trying to make monster power you won't need a new intake. But, they do look good. Personal choice I guess, enjoy your new pickup!
