    Utah Emissions Article

Wife ran across this article as we were thinking of letting her drive the truck up there occasionally. Not anymore with one statement from the article, “Increasingly strict rules for vehicle emissions imposed at the federal level.” Wonder how this will affect some of the Utah counties...

Interesting read. They don't call out diesels specifically but driving something else sounds like a smart move until you can see how they are enforcing the laws.

    Re: Utah Emissions Article

I live in Tennessee and they have laws on vehicles which includes smog. But these are in our major cities like Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Memphis. But it doesn't effect the outlining cities, such as my county. Actually, we can do what ever we want. But I do travel to California to see my kids and grandkids who is the worst of the worst in on this topic. When I go there they leave me alone because I have to meet my states standards and not theirs, except in certain areas by their laws, as ports and such. Since I do not work at the port, I have never been checked or pulled over for that matter.

My youngest son has a California Highway patrolman as a neighbor. Most he does is joins me for a couple beers in the evenings to shoot the bull.

So if you meet 'your' states regulations that your licenced with and don't blow soot or exceed the speed limts everytime you cruise around, I don't see an issue.
