    2011 timing/gear housing gasket

Anyone have procedure for replacing timing/gear case gasket? Not the front gear case cover that has seal but the gasket between gear case and engine. 2011 3500 6.7 cummins of course.

Why do you need to do that ? Is it leaking man if it is you are looking at one hell of a lot of work if it’s like my 97 5.9 which I imagine it is you have to pull everything off the front of the motor and in front of the motor if you don’t have the tools or the skill or the knowledge you need to find some one that does it will most likely take you most of a full weekend to do it
How many miles do you have on your truck? Good Luck

Not positive on where the leak was coming from. Hopefully it was just the front seal. I'm not afraid to do the job just like to know the details before begining. Like torque specs etc. I know some use wooden dows to hold tappet when removing cam instead of the "speciality" tools. I just went ahead and changed the front seal and sealed front cover. Will see what it does. BTW it only has 48k or so miles.

I'm in the same boat. 70,000 miles and its leaking.

Were going to tear into it in a couple weeks and see whats up.

Totally not looking forward to it!
