Is my truck slow or am I crazy

I am new to this forum, and forums in general. If this topic was already discussed I apologize. I recently traded in my 2006 crew cab 4x4 w/48re for a 2018 G56 tradesman. My 2006 had a diablosport predator 60 hp tune and a transgo shift kit (about $600 total in performance parts) and was pretty fast in my opinion. My 2018 was such a dog that I wanted to take it back. I have since added an SB double disc clutch, ARP 625s, and flopro 4" downpipe back exhaust installed along with an MM3 w/ express tune. I started with a 60hp tune that was terrible. I went to a 90hp tune with "torque limiter changes" which was WAY better, and now I have a 120hp tune. Thing is with 120 it still feels like a dog on the top end. My 5.9 would rev hard to 3400rpm, this truck hits a wall at 3000. I love the truck, but the drive train is less than impressive. I also HATE the obnoxious rattle at neutral when the trans is hot. I'll stop complaining and get to my questions. Are the 6.7 trucks really that much slower than the 5.9s? Is there something I should look for? I havemy throttle valve unplugged and am ordering a delete just in case. The tuner has been very good to deal with but before I ask for a 200 hp tune I want to make sure I don't have anything broken.

Welcome to the forum! There is so much different from your '06 to your '18 that this will be hard to pinpoint. Do you know what gears you have? Many of the newer trucks come with 3.42 which definitely feel sluggish compared to 3.73 that a lot of older truck's came with.

Hi Greg, thanks for the welcome and response! I have 3.42 gears and my 2006 did have 3.73s. Funny thing is they both seem to turn about the same rpm on the highway
