Hate hate hate social media. I quit Facebook during the last Canadian Federal Election. Found who my friends are.
I had one guy question my patriatism over my opinion on our welfare society up here. Still pisses me off to think about it.
Nevermind the numerous studies out there concluding that social media is destroying our cultures and making people depressed.

I just can't understand why everyone out there has to publish all their personal everything in their lives. I understand many will post pictures of the meal they are eating?
And the idea of only texting and rarely talking to another person ?
We have a neighbor that doesn't understand why my wife and I will sit on the porch in the summer just to talk to each other. And that we don't even have our phones with us.
And why when you post so much on Facetime and then its copied for marketing they surprised and violated.
My dear lord, they put it out there to be stolen in the first place ... didn't they?

What's funny is:
I was visiting my son a couple years ago, and he was gonna text his son to come out to the garage.
When I have seen him typing the text, I turned my head, said: Hey Nate .. got a minute?
My grandson came out before my son could finish.
But the world is going to hell in a handbasket. And it's getting worse.
Not until about 10 years ago did I hear of having a safe space in public facilities?
Many of the words I grew up using and learning are now not proper?
Web pages like this one can be for learning and growing personally but many are sounding boards for adult ingrates to shame and insult others?
