Agree, take it off. Makes the engine bay look cleaner and it’s just extra weight under there

Yes! Looks so much cleaner, less weight and the EGR has a coolant jacket which could be a potential leak. If not using it anyway pull it!

Removed the egr today. Got rid of excessive weight and created some elbow room in the engine bay.
As people have mentioned, you avoid a possible break down from a water leak. I recently did a delete, 5" Flo Pro exhaust/Raceme tuner / delete, ( I will be doing the EGR removal top side soon ). Something else to keep in mind is inadvertent blow by from a possible fluttering throttle valve, ( I don't know if this is much of an issue, although I have heard about it ) also a stuck throttle valve in a partly closed position. I will be adding a Banks intake horn when I remove the EGR parts. If you don't want to add an aftermarket intake, a rather cheap option is a throttle valve removal kit. By removing the throttle valve, you will also be improving air flow, ( even in a fully open position it is restricting air flow). I guess it depends on where you live and what kind of laws you might have, if concealment is your objective, that in my opinion is the only reason to not remove.
