I'm not so sure about the grid heater, as hear in North NJ I'll keep mine.... But I just watched this video the other day and Mr. Banks makes some valid points here. I think if I swap my intake horn, the banks has me sold. Not trying to promote but an interesting video for sure with flow bench measurements.

Don’t believe the Banks Hype they talk a lot of BS propaganda and hype their products up big time more fluff then performance

I am installing the GDP airboss 67 and throttle body grid heater in a few days ill let you know if I notice anything.

Imnmot doing it for performance though. There have been a few reports of a nut falling off the engine side of the grid heater and causing damage. I want it out. I'm in Canada so I need a heater. I also figure after 2500 hours of breathing it's own farts the stock grid heater is probably pretty gross.

I'm keeping the stock horn as it is supposedly good for up to 500 HP and I have no plans of ever getting there. Bam, $500 left in my pocket (until get those 625s LOL)

Honestly, unless you are pushing huge power, you’re probably not going to notice a big difference but...the restrictions will be gone from the terrible grid heater! I have a GDP heater delete and air horn with no relocated heater and I’ve never had an issue starting my truck. Of course, I do live in southeast Texas but it did get down into the teens this winter for several days. Still never had an issue.

Re: Intake horn and Grid Heater Delete ?

I need headstuds first, but then I'll be improving either fuel or air. For air I've got my eye on a GDP horn, grid delete, and the Shibby Engineering throttle valve grid relocation. Curious to see what real gains if any are being reported.

2015 Ram 2500 with a majestic 6.7 Cummins and 68RFE. Fully deleted with MM3 and tunes from DoubleRDiesel. 5" Flo-Pro exhaust. S&B cold air intake. Custom sound system by Me. Proud American.

Re: Intake horn and Grid Heater Delete ?

I went with the GDP heater due tonthis statement: "The first and only '07.5-'17 6.7L intake manifold mounted grid heater that meets the Cummins spec for heating element support, amp draw, and temperature rise."

Maybe its BS but I rolled the dice
