    Rear diff limited slip?

Hey everyone, so was wondering if anyone has upgraded their rear diff on the 06-09 2500. My pinion bearing recently failed at 200k and I’m want to put a locker in the rear when I rebuild it. I want a mechanical locker and have looked at the Yukon and the Detroit true trac, I just wanna know how they operate on The street. My truck is a mostly commuter but I do tow heavy and go off-road to the sand dunes a lot so that’s the reason for wanting a locker. I just don’t want to use special fluid for a clutch style. Anyone have a good recommendation or experience with the lockers mentioned?

I'm installing an Eaton in my 03. It's what AMA supplies to Chrysler. I had one in my 08 and you'd never know until you needed it. It's transparent. Eaton is one of the best diff manufacturers.

My truck had a tru trac originally, but the previous owner blew it up. When you have a rear wheel drive, you really need the sure grip. But I've gotten by without it. Mine came from an 06. I stole it off ebay. Took me 4 years
