    Re: Turbo kit for towing

Hoping to get time to install this weekend, but may be pushed to next weekend since I work this weekend. I will also be installing ARP studs, Pusher 3.5" boost tubes (Hot & Cold), GDP throttle valve heater grid, GDP Mega Flo intake horn, GDP heater grid delete plate, Fleece fuel filter delete, EGR delete kit (Truck is deleted tuner wise with 5" exhaust, just never installed the kit to remove the cooler), and Mishimoto Y radiator hoses to replace the plastic OEM junk Y pips that keeps failing on my 2014 dual radiator setup. I will attempt to video my install, not sure how well it will go, but will defiantly take before, during and after photos of this build. Then it will be time to start saving for the RevMax 700!

Very interested in this.....For the money the kit is the same cost as a 2nd gen swap. My biggest concern is keep factory VGT since they can have issues. On the flip side you can buy them relatively cheap and they are all over.

Do you have 12V or whistle tune for this new setup?

I currently have all three sound tunes, whistle, 12v and lope. Haven't installed all the new stuff yet as work kept me too busy this weekend. I will start this install this upcoming Thursday as I'm off Frit thru Sun. Ray told me all the sound tunes will still work with the new compound kit, but the whistle tune may not be as audible as before.
Yes the factory VGT can have problems, but retains the exhaust brake. They can be found fairly easy with all the 2nd Gen swaps. Also the Fleece Cheetah is a revised version of stock VGT and is an option, but fairly expensive. I'd like to have the cheetah sound with my compound setup, but can't justify the cost right now when I need $9,800 for a Revmax 700 installed to handle this new power and torque

That’s a bit more than I was thinking. Any idea what the EGTs are?
