    Tuning a stock truck

I just traded my deleted and tuned 2012 in on a bone stock 2017 3500. I'd like to keep the stock.

Emissions intact at least for a little while but would like the added power and transmission tuning.

I know everybody is going to say delete it, and I may down the road but for now, I like how it is quiet and doesn't stink.

My question is anybody stock and tuned, if so how do you like it?

Hi all, I'd like to revive this thread as I'm in the exact same position as the thread starter. Well, my truck that I sold was a deleted 2010, but now I have a bone stock 2017 3500 with 23k miles....... anyway, looking for input on tuners. 007, have you done anything yet and if so, what are your first impressions?

    Re: Tuning a stock truck

Hello, Picked up a new 2018 Laramie 3500 back in November. Traded my 2001 2500 with only 83000 original miles. Any way as far as tuning where can I get info on trans tuning? Want to keep it stock except for a valve body and a tuner. But do they recommend doing this with only 3500 mi on the truck? Maybe change the shift points up the line pressure. I've read that if you take care of and treat a 68RFE right it will last a long time. Just wan to tow a 30ft. rv at around 11000 lbs when ever I want and enjoy the hell out of driving it. Love the power so much different than my 2500. I've read similiar threads so sorry for the redundancy. But I want to get educated.

Several guys will say delete and don’t look back. Double R Diesel offers emissions tuning and trans tuning or fully deleted “off-road” tuning. He is able to bump up line pressure to 170ish with stock VB and adjust shift points. BD diesel offers a plate that can be put on the valve body that allows pressure to bump up to 230psi. The kit is only about $150 and compiable with Rays tunes. Save your trans why you can!
