    ESC LIGHT

Well I just got back from the Dealership for 2 recalls. One was the for the catalytic converter and the other was the Occupant restraint control module. I hopped in the truck after recalls were done and the ESC light is on, doesn’t flash. Any ideas of what it could be? I’ll be calling the dealership in the morning about this.

Mine came on one day just after I was working on it. I just disconnected the batteries for a few minutes, when I hooked them back up the ESC light had cleared.

If you have a tuner, try clearing the codes. If there isn't any trouble, it will probably clear itself after a few more starts

Went back to dealer and they had to reset the ABS, and the light went out. No codes either.

The ESC indicator is a code. Never heard of resetting the ABS. That's a new one. I've had them apart in different trucks, including mine and never had an issue. I just cleared any codes. But it's OK. You got it and that is the important thing. Unless something is different in the 4th gens. I wonder if they were bsing you. Dealers are known to try to buffalo customers. I'm not that easy. LOL

Believe it’s called ABS initialization. No dealership will BS me, I’m mechanically knowledgable. I was worried it would be an electrical nightmare.

Yeah OK. I'm not that up to speed on the 4th gens after 2010. I know the engineer that designed the systems used on the 2nd - 3rd- and 4th Gens up to 2014. We never talked about it
