I’m don’t think you will throw a code from gutting the filter, I would think it would be from excess pressure if the filter gets saturated. You will get oil drips from time to time out of the hose but it’s better dripping onto the ground than going into the suction of the Turbo! When you buy the new filter element, go ahead and gut the spent filter and keep it on hand when you do end up deleting. 90% of the time, the warranty is going to be used for what you’re trying to prevent...damage from emissions bs!
