Fomoto valve or Geno's EZ oil drain valve

I'm gonna buy 1 of the 2. The only thing I'm worried about with the Fomoto is getting a torque wrench on it to attach to the pan. I'm really bad about over tightening...

I have the Fumoto drain valve https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...a/drain-valves. I chose it for the ability to take an oil sample without having to hook up the drain hose, then clean it, with the EZ Change. If you look close, there are provisions for a socket wrench on the Fumoto.

Put the ratchet hub in the palm of your hand. That will reduce the over tightening. Take away the leverage

Re: Fomoto valve or Geno's EZ oil drain valve

The ez flow is good. But I have the Fomoto valve on 2 of my three vehicles and waiting for the next oil change to install the one wait for that oil change. I have nothing but high coments for the Fomoto valves.

Had one similar to the ez valve before and misplaced the screw on fitting. Just a new piece of hose if the Fomoto valve has the short or long nipple and good to go again. And with the lever control, I can adjust the flow easier when doing a sample draw.

Only problem I can see is if your pan is real low to the ground. But how many drop the suspension instead of leaving it stock or raising it ?

I went with the ez oil change plug, I liked the idea of the low profile design it’s just a dust cap that shows and it can’t be drained unless you screw on a hose. Anyone could go under your truck with a fomoto and drain your oil.

Exact reason why I went with the ez setup from Genos as well. I haven’t taken an oil sample yet though.

I have one of those set ups on my Semi and I just recently purchased one from Geno's & installed on my Ram. It is so much easier to take oil samples and I don't take an oil bath like I have in the past when I dropped the plug.

What magic is this! !! This is now on my must have list. My last oil change was a disaster. Oil went every where! This would save me so much pain.
The amount of oil that comes raging out of the engine is to much any oil pan to handle, but with this magnificent tool, all that would be a thing of the past!
