I made this for my truck and really like the look and protection it gives to the condenser and radiator. I have been searching for some type of metal screen that could be installed behind the grill but everything I found I wasn't a fan of. So I made my own...
Step 1) go to the hardware store and find some aluminum mesh/screen you like. I found mine at home depot for 32 bucks.
Step 2) YouTube how to remove the grill on your make and model year. If you break the little clips that hold the grill on, you can get replacements at the dealership. Only 4 bucks a piece and I only broke 2 of 4...
Step3) Cut insert to match grill openings from the back, make sure the insert covers the entire opening. I used a pair of tin snips and a black marker to get a ruff shape then trimmed to fit. Also put acouple of towels or blankets down on your work space so you don't scratch the grill.

Step 4) Paint if you want. I used some 320 grit sand paper to scuff up the aluminum, cleaned off all the metal dust/shavings with brake clean, then shot it with automotive primer. Then painted it the next day.

Step5) attach with the smallest zip ties you can get away with. It is almost impossible to see the zip ties I used from the front of the grill.
