Hes correct- I plugged it in where reroute line is. 5 minute install including finding tools. There is no flow specific orientation on this filter. The mesh is 400 micron but has a strong magnet to help catch debris. As you can see after little mileage it’s got a decent amount of debris and that reroute line only gets about 10-20% of flow. So I’m guessing it will be an ongoing thing. The glass is nice to see how much it’s catching.

The filter comes apart to clean and reuse.
