Re: What Did You Do On Your Truck Today?

Today, I removed the turbo actuator, set the calibration, installed the actuator and finished the calibration with alfaobd.

Then I installed the factory trailer brake controller and set it up through alfaobd as well.

While I was on a roll, I installed the DRD tunes for the MM3.

I had previously said I’d wait til my trans was rebuilt later this month but after driving around watching the mm3 monitor, the trans line pressure would see 250psi.

So, I figured I would install the tunes and tcm tune for 225 psi.

    What a freaking difference.

I drove around and I can honestly say the throttle response is 100x better that what was on there before.

I messed around and got up to the 120hp tunes and was losing traction at full throttle.

I can’t wait to get the trans rebuilt and add a compound turbo setup from black market.

Truly thankful for the team at @DRD for answering my questions and their hard work for the tunes on these trucks.

So started to get ready for winter to be over and looking at seat covers.

I heard a gunshot outside right next to the house so I thought and ran out there and this is what I found.

The wife had put 3 day old ashes in the trash can next to my truck caught my truck on fire and totaled it.

I don't know if the insurance company will pay for the $30000 extras I have on it.

Am I going to get screwed by the insurance company for all of my extra performance modifications?

What can I do to protect myself?

I am so sorry to see this.

I know you invested a lot of time and money into your truck.

As far as the insurance goes, I would gather all your receipts and photos and present as much information to the adjuster as possible.

Again sorry for your loss and this unfortunate event.

    Now way man!!

    That's horrible.

As AKBob said, start pulling together as many receipts and order invoices as you can before talking to insurance.

As long as the truck plus extras doesn't exceed your max per incident you have a chance, but expect to have to fight for it.

I'm not sure if Ray will see this, but I'm just curious when I get my new truck.

It will most likely also be 2012.

Can I transfer my MM3 over to it?

I cannot suck the VIN off of this truck because the wires are fried?

MM3 can be used to program 4 different trucks.

You will need a new license code from MM3 and new tuning from DRD but no issue using the old hardware as long as it wasn't damaged by the fire.
