Synthetic winch cable???? Do tell me more!
I had my front bumper busted by a dumb drunk. He thought he was going to drive home drunk. So I made sure his truck didn't go anywhere. Gotta love the power of a cummins!! LOL I'll gladly sacrifice my bumper to save a life.

That Synthetic cable is sweet. Yes 3/8 gives you a good margin. I use it on both my winches. It will chafe, you need to be a bit more careful. But you won't get those sharp burrs. Other than that it's like dealing with a broken rope.
First pull will stretch. You'll love it

That's a picture someone snapped when I was sneaking the tractor over. I only told about 5 people I was bringing it and I idled it down the driveway. No one noticed because they were on the otherwise of the house in the lower yard.
Speaking of old equipment, I wanted to leave in our old Steiger Bearcat III, because it's 3306 CAT sounds wicked without a muffler, but it was very dirty inside and out, and has a much more cramped cab.
I left at night when it was mostly dark, as far as I know, there weren't any pictures taken then, but I did have a friend light off 3 tubes with big artillery shells as we were driving off!
Yesterday I pulled my truck out of hibernation to start working on a new fuel system
Jacked it up 8 inches. And installed a new flywheel.

The Old one wouldn't make it move.

That's exactly how I lifted my friends 08 to delete the DPF
The 68 is a bear to pull. Don't want to do it again ever.
