    Shifting

Hey everyone. Probably a dumb question but when I switch from the truck automatically shifting to me having control of shifting the dash shows that I have only 2 gears? I know the 68RFE has six gears. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a setting that’s wrong? On my old 1500 I just held down the plus sign and that was it. I could control the shift points. Currently in Florida and truck is back in Virginia

What do ya mean only shows you have 2 gears? Are you sitting still when trying to flip through all of the gears?

I was in my driveway. Showed I had 1 of 2 gears. Maybe operator error?

Ah ok gotcha. So it won't let you go through any other gears because you aren't moving. Basically it should be a fail safe so you don't try to start off in any other gear that could cause damage. Try driving it and going through the gears. Even though it's manual mode it's considered manumatic. You don't have full control over it still.

Oh ok. I’ll give it a try on me I’m back from Christmas vacation in Florida.

You should actually be able to select 1-6 while sitting. When I pull my travel trailer, before I ever take my foot off the brake, I select 5th. By selecting that, it only keeps you from going into a higher gear than selected. Let us know what you find out after the drive.

What happens when you try it in park? I’m in Florida right now and my truck is back in Virginia.

    It’ll only work in drive.
